Story Book Soiree – Valentines Day Dance

An evening for big and little prince and princesses. Dress in your best fairy-tale themed attire and be ready to dance the night away with a live DJ. Tickets are $15 and feature an all you can eat dinner and dessert bar.



Chocolate Walk – Downtown Canton

February 3rd; 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Downtown Canton

Get to know and visit your Downtown Canton local businesses with is years Chocolate Walk. Tickets are available for $20 ahead of time and feature most of the Downtown Businesses. Check in will be at the Canton Theater from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Don’t miss the sweetest event of the year.


Galentine’s Day at Avalon

February 8th; 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Avalon

A shopping day geared towards the ladies. So grab a group and get ready for fun. First ladies to visit the Concierges will receive complimentary wine and a sweet treat. There will be a special permanent jewelry pop up shop ‘The Gilted Thread’ (located next to the concierges). Many of the shops are offering discounts through your shopping adventure. The Cape Restaurant and Beach Bar will be offering mini frozés (frozen rosé).


Steel Magnolias – Woodstock Art Theater

Enjoy your favorite Louisiana Southern Women in this hilarious play adaption of the classic film ‘Steel Magnolias’. Tickets available online for a discount or at the door.


Eurydice – Alpharetta Arts Center

February 9th – 18th

Alpharetta Arts Center

The re-imagined telling of Orpheus, dreamed into a play. The shows will be happening Friday and Saturday evenings and Sundays for a matinee.


Southern Spirits at the Southern Museum

February 9th; 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History

Wear your jazziest outfit, and bring your beads and mask! Celebrate Mardi Gras as you stroll through the museum galleries while enjoying cocktails, Cajun hors d’oeuvres, New Orleans live jazz music and a special museum exhibit. Tickets to be purchased ahead of time and must be 21 to attend.


Woodstock Arts Film Festival – Sign up

February 10th; 12:00 PM

Woodstock Arts Event Green

This is the second annual Woodstock Arts Film Festival. This is the set up phase for the festival to come later. Teams will need to register, and an email will be sent out at noon on February 10th detailing instructions. Teams has 48 hours to write, film, and edit a short film! The actual showcase festival will take place March 24th.


Mardi Gras at Avalon

February 13th; 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Enjoy the streets of Avalon transformed into Bourbon Street for Mardi Gras. Collect two stamps on your Mardi Gras passport and be entered into a drawling for a special Avalon Price.


Arbor Day – Downtown Canton

February 16th; 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Cannon Park; Downtown Canton

Celebrating 31 years of Canton being known as ‘The Tree City’. The event will feature a plant sale, will have plant exports on site for questions. As well as be giving out free seedlings.


Polar Plunge – Acworth

February 24th; 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Cauble Park; Acworth

The Georgia Special Olympics is hosting their largest fundraising event of the year, The Polar Plunge. This year hosted by the Law Enforcement Torch Run For Georgia. The event will take place at Acworth Beach at Cauble Park. The purpose behind this plunge is to spread awareness to the 27,115 Special Olympics Georgia athletes.
