Atlanta Christmas Lights: Where to Find Them. The neighborhoods of Atlanta are illuminated by magnificent displays of festive lights and decorations, which create an upbeat and celebratory environment for everyone to take pleasure in. Weather your looking for lights in Cobb, Cherokee, Gwinnett, Fayette, Paulding or Fulton counties there are plenty of options to choose from.

Cobb/Paulding County: Where to find Christmas lights

Lights of Life – Life University

Life University offers a 1.5 mile drive thru Christmas lights display. In addition to the lights show there will be concession stands, pony rides, train rides, and a petting zoo.

Shadrack’s Christmas

This brand new to Cobb County award winning drive thru event will open November 17th and run thru January 7th. Shadrack’s show features a 300 foot light tunnel best described as a kaleidoscope of twinkling lights, a 50 foot Christmas tree, and a special peak at Santa with his reindeer at the north pole. After the lights show visit Santa’s Village for a ice skating, ice slides, tasty treats, and a glimpse of Santa himself.

Lane Light

This beautiful light show will start its 14th year on November 23rd.

Christmas On Boilingbroke

Boilingbroke Drive is a street wide celebration of Christmas Lights; that started with The McGraws love of Christmas in 2014.

Maple Avenue in Downtown Marietta

A neighborhood wide Christmas display that has been going since 1998.

Hrockin Hranicky Christmas Lists Show

Put on by Becky & Chip Hranicky; runs Saturday November 25th through January 1st. Running nightly with tunes on 107.7FM. The show is associated with Angels Among Us – Pet Rescue and they kindly ask for donations to the rescue.

Smoot Family Christmas Light Show

Over 70,000 commercial lights synchronized to music. All donations from viewers go to The Lupus Foundation of America – Georgia Chapter.

Lights of Joy

The largest residential Christmas Light Show in Georgia with over 1 million lights. Synchronized to music over the FM radio, the show features 40 musical trees and 700 feet of road frontage. Visitor’s are encouraged to park across the street at the church and walk over to see the show.

Riley’s Rockin Christmas

A 68,000 LED light show that is synchronized over FM radio to more than 50 mins of Christmas joy.

Portwood Family Christmas Lights

A wholesome family Christmas Lights Show. If you catch them on the right nights, they offer hot cocoa and real snow!

Woodruff Family Light Show

This ‘Holiday Magic’ show is a free family light show that features a lighted arch, dancing lights, and inflatables. Voted one of the top light shows by Cobb Tourism board.

Atkinson/Rowell Family Christmas Lights

Over 40,000 lights paired with holiday classics. This light show spans over two homes on Riverwood Landing.

Felix Family Christmas Lights

This light show is constructed each year by a Northside Elementary School teacher. All proceeds from donations benefit the Paulding Public Safety Appreciation INC.


Cherokee County: Where to find Christmas lights

Holly Springs Christmas Lights

Beautiful light show synced to music spread across the lawn of First Baptist Church of Holly Springs.

Holiday Lights Veterans Park

A drive through light show starting November 18th running nightly. Opening night will kick off with a 5K run/walk event. See Facebook page for details and to sign up.

Holiday Lights of Hope

A walk thru Christmas lights display benefiting the Anna Crawford Children’s Center. There is a small admission for the display.

Dixie Speedway – Woodstock

The new Magic Of The Lights drive thru show is available November 17th thru December 31st. Tickets are available to purchase ahead of time online.


Fayette County: Where to find Christmas lights

Gaddy’s Christmas Lights

If you are from anywhere on the south side of town you know that the Gaddy’s Christmas Lights are the go-to event of Christmas. A 7 acre drive thru light show nightly from 6-10 PM. Traditionally the Gaddy’s choose one night to pair with the Marines with Toys for Tots.

Burton Christmas Lights

This drive up family lights show has been going since 2009. Synced to holiday themed music on 101.9 FM.


Gwinnett County: Where to find Christmas lights

Winter Lantern Festival

A stunning walking experience through 1000 handmade Chinese lanterns mimicking a traditional Chinese Lantern Festival.

Ashebrooke Night Of Lights

This is a one night event that takes place in December where the Ashebrooke neighborhood of 300+ homes are illuminated. Donations go to a family/individual in need. You can catch more info about the recipients on their Facebook page.

Whole Lot of Christmas

This family Christmas Light display will feature a a Snowflake Lane, Santa’s Workshop, Snowman Village, Toyland, Gingerbread Lane, Christmas Tree Forest, a Ferris Wheel, and a UGA section. Donations given to the family’s display are given at 100% to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Lakeside Lights – Lake Lanier

Margaritaville at Lake Lanier took over the famous Lake Lanier Lights. This new walk through lights display is paired with holiday music. The Tipsy Elf is a refill station for cocktails and hot cocoa in the middle of the lights display. Be sure to also visit snow island for 575 foot snow tube slide, ice skating, carnival rides, and snow play.

Stone Mountain – Christmas Lights Show

Stone Mountain produces the world’s largest Christmas light show featuring lasers, fireworks, drones, and a flying sleigh toting Santa and crew into the Christmas season. In addition to the show you can visit the Christmas Village to visit Santa, explore the magical frosted forest, catch a Christmas Parade, watch the classic Charles Dickens play ‘A Christmas Carol’, or join in with the renowned Christmas Carolers. Don’t forget to catch the 4D theater experience with ‘The Polar Express’.


Fulton County (Atlanta): Where to find Christmas lights

Atlanta Botanical Gardens- Garden Lights, Holiday Nights

This beautiful walk thru display of lights is an Atlanta staple; opening November 18th and extending til January 14th. This year the light show will feature a stunning tree top walk of dangling sparkling lights, 144 foot long wintery white skynet, and the return of the white rabbit in the Skyline Garden to kick off the Alice and Wonderland exhibit coming next year

Zoo Atlanta – IllumiNights At The Zoo

A cherished holiday tradition in Atlanta. The Illuminights At The Zoo show feature brilliantly illuminated wildlife. This year, the zoo is featuring new lanterns and experiences, transforming the Zoo into a holiday wonderland with new lanterns around every corner.

Pierce Lights

Family drive up light show with over 50,000 lights put together by information technology (IT) gurus Julie and Stuart. All donations go to ‘Chosen Foster Care and Adoption’ through First Baptist Church of Alpharetta.

Fox Family Christmas Lights

Fox Family Christmas Lights are synced to music on 88.3 FM. Featuring a walk through Christmas display. All donations from the lights are given to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church.

Santa’s Village

A collection of lights, animated characters, and Christmas favorites. Running nightly from Thanksgiving Day thru New Year’s Eve. Proceeds from donations go to Toys for Tots.

ATL Holiday Lights

A walking and driving light show experience. Check out their website for days Santa will be on the walking experience.
